“A Pale Young Woman Appears At The Window” recorded at Club 1808, Austin TX on 9.19.11.

“The Handsomest Drowned Man In The World” recorded at Plush, Austin TX on 3.14.11.

Musicians on “The Handsomest Drowned Man In The World": Bill Bridges, Tim Doyle, Eva Luna, Rebecca Ramirez, Christopher Petkus.

Cover art by Petkus. My drawing skills have not developed a whit since I was nine years old. Oh, and aside from being a crude drawing, it's also inaccurate. I did not wear white shoes at either show.

A note about the recordings, such as they are: "Handsomest Drowned Man" was recorded on a digital camera, and "Pale Young Woman" was recorded on an iPhone. I tried a little, but not too terribly much, to clean them up--mainly punching up the bass so you can hear Bill a little better on Handsomest Drowned Man. In any case, the performances are good, but the recordings are crude, so this album is free. Like Lou Reed said about Live At Max's, you can hear just enough.

released September 21, 2011

Thank you: Sandy Bowie, Anne Heller, Johnathan Cash, Plush staff, Club 1808 staff, Matt Burnett, COTFG, all the Yeast By Sweet Beast 2011 bands, Bee Vs. Moth--who did indeed play after us at Plush and did a damn fine show, Joe, Vince, Jane, and the audiences at both shows. I don't think any one person was AT both, maybe Cash was.

This is the fourth release from Handsomest Drowned Man Records--September 21, 2011.
